Sporty and Sophisticated
Cross-town croquet rivals and ultimate lawn party take over St. John’s College.

You know spring has arrived when the St. John’s College Johnnies and the Naval Academy Mids dust off their mallets and prepare for battle—croquet style. The 27th annual Annapolis Cup croquet match takes place on the sprawling front lawn at St. John’s College in Annapolis, which also boasts the largest lawn party in town. 410-626-2539 or Stjohnscollege.edu.







Over the Hills and Through the Woods
Nostalgic steeplechase horse racing returns to Roedown Farm.

On April 5th, the 35th annual running of the Marlborough Hunt Races takes place, rain or shine, at Roedown Farm in Davidsonville. The crowd pleasing, festive event features an eleven race card, tailgate and hat competitions, food and drink vendors, and plenty of excitement. Land a Lunker, Plan to Party
Trophy rockfish season opens with annual catch-and-release tournament.

Now in its eighth year, the Boatyard Bar & Grill Fishing Tournament and Party invites anglers to compete for largest striped bass bragging rights. The tourney and shore celebration takes place on April 18th at the Boatyard Bar and Grill in Eastport, Annapolis. Welcome Back America’s Pastime
Baseball returns to the diamond this April.

There’s plenty of action on the local baseball diamonds this month.
