Exceptional Leadership Award | Annapolis
Cordova resident Tony Mohan, principal counsel and assistant attorney general to Maryland’s Department of Housing and Community Development, received this December the Exceptional Leadership Award from Attorney General Doug Gansler for his dedication, hard work, and consistent leadership.

Centre for the Arts Opening Reception | Centreville
Over 70 guests attended the opening reception on November 7 at the Centre for the Arts for Inside and Outside, an exhibit that featured works by Carole Cascio and What’s Up? Eastern Shore contributor Skip Faulkner. A portion of the proceeds from art sales during the exhibition benefited the Centre for the Arts Building Fund.

Academy Art Museum Opening Reception | Easton
Exhibited through February 9, the Academy Art Museum’s winter exhibition, Monumental Forms: Drawings, Models, and Sculpture by Albert Paley, drew over 300 guests its opening reception, which featured a meet-the-artist opportunity.

Hosted by the Easton Police Department and the Talbot County Young Professionals at the Tidewater Inn, the fifth annual Toys for Tots Luncheon was sponsored by Shore Bancshores Inc.

Arts in Easton Banner Auction | Easton
The “Arts in Easton” Banner Auction took place on December 13, 2008 at the Waterfowl Building in Easton. Attended by over 150 people, the event auctions various banners created by 42 area artists and displayed around town beginning in summer, with all proceeds benefiting the Avalon Foundation.
