CBEC Check Presentation | Grasonville
On January 16th, What's Up? publisher Veronica Tovey presented board members of the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center with a corporate sponsorship check in the amount of $5,000. The philanthropic partnership between What's Up? and CBEC began in early 2008.

Celebration of Children Luncheon | Easton
More than 130 people attended CASA (court appointed special advocates) of Talbot County's December luncheon to highlight the organization's work with children left under the protection of the court due to abuse or neglect. The Madrigal Singers from Annapolis Area Christian School sang at the event, an annual affair that's come to be anticipated by the community at large.
The Bosom Buddies Ball Committee toasts their hard work and dedication, which made the Ball a success.

Bosom Buddies Ball | Stevensville
A sold out crowd of 300 attended the Bosom Buddies Ball, the annual event of the Bosom Buddies Charity, which seeks to promote breast cancer awareness, research, and prevention. The event raised an estimated $100,000, which the group will use, in part, to purchase a hand-held Ultrasound Machine to accompany the Digital Mammography Machine that it previously purchased for the Anne Arundel Medical Breast Center on Kent Island.
