Chester River Chorale Check Presentation | Worton
Don Moyer, CRC board chair, presents $1,500 check to Karen Somerville, founder of the African American Schoolhouse Museum. Raised at the CRC's Lincoln Celebration Concertm the donation will fund the museum's restoration.

The County School Donation to Talbot Interfaith Shelter | Easton
Second graders at The Country School collected nearly 20 boxes of food and raised $300 for Talbot Interfaith Shelter, a cold-weather shelter for men, women, and children lacking adequate housing in Talbot County. The fund raising campaign was the students' service project of the year.

Our Children, Our Stars Gala | Cambridge
Over 280 parents, alumni, and friends of The Country School enjoyed an evening at the Chesapeake Bay Hyatt Regency in Cambridge for the school's gala fundraiser. The event raised over $135,000 for the school, to be used for enrichment programs, supplies, and technology to improve the students' learning environment.

Splendor in the Grass | Tilghman
A fundraiser for the Tilghman's Island Watermen's Museum, Splendor in the Grass drew over 135 guests to Two Tree Restaurant in support of the museum's efforts to preserve, publicize, and document the facts, artifacts, and stories of the watermen and their families on Tilghman Island.

YMCA of Talbot County Chairman's Roundtable Dinner | Easton
Celebrating the annual Strong Kids Campaign, this year's Chairman's Roundtable Dinner recognized the $271,000 in financial assistance given to 1,900 participants in 2008 YMCA programs.
