A Song of Praise: The Annapolis Chorale saluted Music Director J. Ernest Green's 20th anniversary season with a roast at its annual gala on January 15 at the Loews Annapolis Hotel. 230 guests enjoyed a cocktail reception that included a video tribute to Green featuring, among others, National Symphony Orchestra Pops Conductor Marvin Hamlisch. Dinner entertainment was provided by many of Green's friends and long-time colleagues.

Main Street at South River Colony welcomed tots and their parents to a holiday celebration on December 11. Students from South River High School painted faces and sang carols, while visitors created cards for wounded service personnel at Bethesda National Navy Medical Center.

Jalapeños Restaurant of Annapolis recently hosted its 2nd Annual Hospice Appreciation Day. The event raised $4,000 for Hospice of the Chesapeake.

The Rockfish Fine Wine Auction and Tasting, at the Eastport eatery of the same name, is presented by Annapolis Volvo and will offer a variety of vintages with fine hors d'oeuvres.
