Annual Carnival & 4th of July Celebration 

is sponsored by Easton Main Street in partnership with the Avalon Foundation. Festivities include rides, carnival food, live music, games, and prizes. On the 4th of July itself, the traditional Independence Day Celebration is a major community event. Local non-profit groups provide concession food booths, an annual fundraiser. Several musical acts are presented on stage, as well as a patriotic program to honor veterans. At dusk, the Mid-Shore’s finest Fireworks display lights up Easton. Fourth of July Celebration 

is an old-fashioned Fourth of July celebration including a parade, fireworks over the harbor, and a performance by the USNA Band. The best viewing areas include public spaces Northeast of the Severn River, along the Naval Academy Bridge (limited parking area), any of the street-end parks facing Spa Creek, and aboard a boat in the Annapolis harbor. Parking will be restricted in many areas but is available at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium off Rowe Boulevard. A FREE shuttle will be provided by the City of Annapolis from the Stadium to the downtown area at Lawyer’s Mall in front of the State House. The shuttle operates from 4:00 p.m. to midnight. 4th of July Celebration 

Skipjack Nathan of Dorchester will be celebrating their 15th Anniversary as they lead the July 4th Boat Parade, fire the cannon and commemorate the moment. Admission is free and the gates will open at 2 pm on Saturday, July 4th for a first-time tailgating and family in the park event. Bring your grill, tents, and chairs, and set up along the shores of the Choptank River to enjoy a day with family and friends. For those who prefer that someone else do the cooking, food and a variety of vendors will be available. Enjoy live music by regional favorites, Golden Touch and DJ Ben Parks, games, activities and a Kids' Zone.
