Black and White Ball
Hundreds of music supporters showed their true colors at the Second Annual Black and White Ball, a gala benefit for the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra. The April 16 event at Loews Annapolis Hotel raised funds for the capital's acclaimed ensemble, now in its 43rd season. It was underwritten by Black Market/White House.

What's Up? Singles Event
Merritt Athletic Club hosted a What's Up? Singles Event on April 10, with proceeds benefiting Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts. The crowd took over two levels of the club to enjoy speed-dating, dancing, casino-style games and an "oxygen bar."

Chefs by the Bay
More than two dozen of the area's leading restaurants participated in Chefs by the Bay, an evening of gourmet tastings presented on March 28 by the Junior League of Annapolis. Guests sipped and supped at Chartwell Country Club to support the League's community services and programs.

Cabin Fever Art Auction
Banishing the winter blues and raising funds for a worthy cause were the dual purposes that brought hundreds of guests to Arundel Habitat for Humanity's Cabin Fever Art Auction. The March 20 event at Homestead Gardens also offered tastings of wines and microbrews, along with live and silent auctions.
