Fins
1629 Crofton Center, Crofton
301-261-3366

Looking for a unique dining experience? Fins is a one-of-a-kind choice in the Annapolis area. The classy restaurant and bar off Route 301 in Crofton combines American, Asian and Hawaiian cooking styles like no other. It has the cosmopolitan flair of a restaurant in D.C., without the long lines and traffic.

This trendy joint was home to Coconuts not long ago, but has been completely redone and decorated with Hawaiian and bamboo accents. The bright blue and yellow walls are welcoming, and the décor is crisp and clean with large mirrored walls. The bar is gorgeous and hidden off to the side of the restaurant.

Fins serves both lunch and dinner, with varied menus for each. With a large selection of sandwiches and entrees, it's the perfect place for a power lunch or meeting with friends. Try the chicken mango wrap, teriyaki bowls, tuna melt or chicken curry salad. Feeling adventurous? Fins has an awesome raw bar and sushi menu. The California roll is one of the best around. If you're looking for the area's favorite crustacean, the creamy crab dip is a great choice for an appetizer (the yellow dip is made with curry), as are the crispy crab wontons with roasted pepper puree and spicy beef dumplings. Dinner entrees are mostly seafood, and are prepared with sauces, sides and seasonings with Asian or Hawaiian influences. Options include the mouth-watering sea scallops with mango-pineapple sauce, smoked bacon and mashed sweet potatoes. The rockfish is nicely stuffed with crab, and the tuna with fruit salsa, risotto and wasabi stir-fry is a lively choice. A lite-fare menu is also available, as well as a choice of a 3 or 4-course fixed-price menu with very reasonable items. And the fresh fish of the day is even flown in from Honolulu.
