With deep knowledge in both routine and complex pediatric urologic conditions, including kidney stones, hypospadias, hernias, undescended testicles, and voiding dysfunction, Dr. Kern is known for his precise surgical approach and calm, caring demeanor.
His philosophy is simple: treat every child as if they were a member of his own family. That belief is shared across his care team of fellowship-trained anesthesiologists, pediatric nurses, sonographers, and support staff, who work together to ensure a comfortable and personalized experience for every patient.
Dr. Kern’s impressive training includes a medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, a residency in urological surgery at Johns Hopkins, and a pediatric urology fellowship at UT Southwestern.
