Now in its seventh year, the fully accredited, single-semester Chesapeake Watershed Semester (CWS) at The Gunston School offers high school juniors and seniors a rigorous, place-based academic experience. CWS uses the Chesapeake Bay as its living laboratory and cultivates environmental leaders by promoting deep understanding of the scientific, social, cultural, and political systems affecting regional and global sustainability. This experience is open to students from any school and is ideal for those seeking advanced academic rigor and real-world environmental action. Boarding, transportation, and financial aid is available.
