If you've never been to Artscape, now's your chance to get in on the fun. Running from noon on Friday through 8 p.m. on Sunday, Artscape 2011 is America's largest free arts festival. And, as you wander through Bolton Hill and the Station North Arts District, you'll get to soak up exhibitions by 150+ fine artists, fashion designers and craftspeople. Enjoy musical performances by stars such as American Idol winner, Fantasia, bluesy hip-hop artists G. Love and Special Sauce and American Hasidic Jewish reggae phenom Matisyahu. And, make sure you stop to see the festival's legendary art cars. You'll see the photos later, and wind up kicking yourself if you don't. Trust me.
