At the Queen Anne's County Fair you’ll be treated to family entertainment like a pedal pull, a fish mobile, a tractor pull, jousting, and tricycle races all week long. Musical highlights include Jones Boys, Meg & Bryan, The Chris Sack’s Band and Bay Country Gentlemen.

Caroline Summerfest isn’t quite a fair, so to speak, but I’d say it’s pretty close. It’s a family-friendly festival featuring two stages of regional and local entertainment, a Friday pedestrian parade, Saturday fireworks show, strolling performers, artisans, free KidzArt activities, and gaming and food vendors featuring local non-profits.
August 24 – September 3
Okay, so the Maryland State Fair goes into September. I’m sorry if you feel misled. This annual event features the musical talents of Victoria Justice, The Band Perry, Newsboys, and the Afters. Other highlights include live thorough ed horse racing, classic games, livestock exhibits, commercial exhibits, the ever-popular pig races, and more.
Weekends August 25 – October 21, plus Labor Day
The Maryland Renaissance Festival is the second largest Renaissance Festival in the country. The 22-acre recreation of a 16th-century English village features food, fun, fine-crafts and frivolity. Other highlights include five pubs, ten major stages, a jousting arena, and all of the additional fun you can handle.
Okay, planners. I’m going to give you this one too.

The Anne Arundel County Fair cele ates its 60th anniversary this year. Enjoy carnival rides, an Arundel Idol contest, 4-H exhibits, live music, and lots more family activities.
