The Manor House at Talisman Farm in Grasonville will host the 2nd Annual Harvest Moon Ball to benefit Talisman Therapeutic Riding at 5 p.m. Saturday. The black tie and blue jean event runs $100 per person with reserved tables of six ($600) and eight ($800) available.
At 5:15, there will be rider demonstrations for Children in TheraPony and Heroes on Horses followed by “Toast the Sunset” at 6:12 and full course holiday harvest dinner at 6:30. Dancing will begin at 8 to go along with music by the Mike Butler Band. Skinny Girl wine, select beer and Pinnacle Vodka tastings will be available as well as a live auction and a champagne raffle. In Centreville, Nancy Hammond Editions in Centreville will release its highly-anticipated 2014 Annual Chesapeake Poster on Saturday at 10 a.m. The poster is $75 the day of the release with prices starting at $200 on Sunday and increasing as the edition sells. On Sunday, Collison Field at Truxton Park in Annapolis will have the scariest morning run in the East Coast when it holds FrankenFest 5K from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. with the shotgun start at 9 a.m. Costumes are highly encouraged! All proceeds from the run will benefit the Annapolis Boys and Girls Scholarship Trust and The Annapolis Recreation and Parks Scholarship Fund.
Donations of $10 will be collected at the gate. Race participants and kids under 12 will be admitted for free. There will be fresh food and non-alcoholic beverages provided by Stan and Joe’s Saloon, who will also host a post-race party. There will be a free item provided with a purchase for those who participated in the race.
There will be a DJ on site courtesy of Off the Hook Entertainment, corn hole, face painting, Zombie-instructed Zumba, carnival-style games, best costume prizes, race awards ceremony and more.
In Baltimore’s West Shore Park, the inaugural Baltimore Brew Festival will take place Saturday from 2-6 p.m. and feature dozens of local and international eweries such as National Bohemian, Blue Moon, Heavy Seas, Flying Fish, Flying Dog, Full Tild, Uinta and more.
