For tens of thousands of Marylanders, the Festival of Trees marks the beginning of the holiday season each year. Now in its 28th year, this three-day festival that begins the day after Thanksgiving offers fun for the entire family while raising money for programs at the Kennedy Krieger Institute.
Inside the Cow Palace at the Maryland State Fairgrounds we’ve decked the halls with boughs of jolly! This year’s guests will enjoy a winter playground featuring more than 700 spectacular holiday trees, wreaths and ginger ead houses created by local designers and available for purchase.
Once you’ve feasted your eyes on the decorations, enjoy live holiday entertainment from performers such as kids’ band Milkshake, holiday readings by local cele ities, a children's craft area, a magical carousel, “reindeer” pony rides and Santa! Find the perfect gifts for your loved ones with over 100 shopping boutiques and a silent auction featuring exciting getaway packages, autographed sports memorabilia and more.
Returning this year is a special Breakfast with Santa event to be held at 8am on Sunday, November 26. Before the Festival of Trees opens to the general public, attendees can enjoy a hot eakfast buffet, unlimited train and carousel rides, access to the fun house and a gift from Santa for children 12 and under. A limited number of Breakfast with Santa tickets will be sold and are expected to sell out.
