brbrThe Mid-Atlantic Brewsic Festival & Fire Truck Show will be rocking the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds in Crownsville rain or shine on Saturday from noon to 11 p.m. Gates open at 11 a.m.
brbrMore than 60 beers will be available including Flying Dog Dead Rise, Buck Distributing, Goose Island, Union Anthem, North Coast Red Seal, and more!
brbrThe musical lineup consists of five tribute bands:
Mike Mchenry Tribe (Jimi Hendrix Tribute) – 12-1 p.m.
brCrowded Streets Band (Dave Matthews Band Tribute) – 1:30-3 p.m.
brClassic Case (Beatles, Motown, Beach Boys More) – 3:30-5 p.m.
brIdol Kings (John Mellencamp & Journey Tribute) – 5:30-7:30 p.m.
brU2Nation (U2 Tribute) – 8-9:30 p.m.
brbrThe Fire Truck Show consists of seven trophy categories: Best Appearing Apparatus, Brewsic Festival Favorite, Contestant Favorite, Longest Distance Traveled, Most Unique Apparatus, Oldest Operated Apparatus, and Judges Award.
brbrThe festival and show benefit 77rescue.org, Annapolis Jaycees, and Make a Wish Mid-Atlantic.
brbrThe monthly Canines & Cocktails for a Cause continues at West Kitchen & Tavern at Loews Annapolis Hotel on Friday from 5:30-7 p.m. for a pet-friendly happy hour. Enjoy socializing on scenic West Street in Downtown Annapolis with raffles and specialty drinks. This month’s event benefits MD Animal Sanctuary & Rescue.br
brThe Schooner Woodwind will be hosting sailing cruises on Thursday night (featuring music from Mike and Kelly Lange) and throughout the weekend. The cruises take off from the Annapolis Marriott Waterfront hotel right at the mouth of Ego Alley as you get to tour the Chesapeake Bay.
brbrRams Head on Stage in Annapolis has two notable shows going on this weekend with a Friday evening performance by The Dan Band, who was featured on Old School and The Hangover, and Tyrone Wells, singer of “What Are We Fighting For?” on Saturday at 1 p.m.br
brMaryland Hall in Annapolis is starting its Co-ops and Ceramics Department Summer Exhibit with an Opening Reception Thursday night from 5:30-7 p.m. The exhibit features works from Maryland Hall groups that include woodturning, sculpture, etching and figure Co-ops and the ceramics department.br
brDowntown Chestertown will be celebrating its annual weekend of Crazy Days with shopping deals along the red brick sidewalks of the Historic District. Kids can also participate in special activities at Fountain Park.br
brIn the second of a three-part series at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, this week’s Chesapeake People event titled “Cultures of Crabbing” will analyze crabs and their importance on our locale. There will also be crab-picking and harvesting demonstrations.
brbrMusic will be plentiful on the Eastern Shore, with Three Penny Opera performing at Muskrat Park in St. Michaels tonight at 6:30 p.m., 21 Horses at Kent Island Yacht Club tonight at 7 p.m., and The Hannah Gill Band at Avalon Theatre in Easton Friday night at 8 p.m.
