brGet used to the sound of cracking at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium this weekend. br
brBreak out the mallets for the 69th Annual Rotary Club of Annapolis Crab Feast, taking place Friday from 5-8 p.m. Enjoy one of the most celebrated Maryland pastimes by cracking large, freshly steamed crabs as part of a delicious menu that includes Maryland vegetable crab soup, corn on the cob, barbeque sandwiches, hot dogs, beer, sodas, and water. The event raises funds for local charities and cultural organizations and is expected to draw about 2,500 people. br
brIt’s anticipated that 350 bushels of crabs, 3,400 ears of corn, 100 gallons of crab soup, 1,800 hot dogs, 150 pounds of beef barbeque, and hundreds of gallons of soft drinks and beer will be consumed. That’s a lot of chow! Bring your friends and eat great at the same time.
brNavy football will host its 2014 Fan Fest/Media Day on Saturday from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Fans can meet players and get autographs on the press box side concourse from 10-11 a.m. before they move to the field and interact with fans there. There will be inflatable games, giveaways and live music. The first 250 kids receive a free t-shirt.br
brFor the third straight year, the two-time Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens will crack the pads and take the field of Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium on Monday night at 7 p.m. for their second open training camp practice of the summer.br
brBefore practice there will be a youth football clinic. After the players finish practicing, they will walk over to the stands and sign autographs for children only. It’s estimated that 20,000 fans attended last year’s session in Annapolis.br
brOn the concourse of the north end zone, fans can take part in games, buy merchandise, meet cheerleaders, have their faces painted, meet official mascot Poe and live mascots Rise and Conquer, and listen to performances from Baltimore's Marching Ravens. br

brThe 39th Annual Eastport Peach Festival will take place at Eastport United Methodist Church in Annapolis from 12-5 p.m. with selections ranging from family style chicken dinners to locally grown corn on the cob and desserts including peach cake, vanilla ice cream topped with sliced peaches, and servings of freshly sliced peaches. Proceeds benefit the church’s mission projects and community outreach programs.
brKent Fort Farm in Stevensville is having its Annual Peach Festival from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Admission and parking at the event is free. Enjoy hayrides, peaches you can pick yourself, blackberries, peach ice cream, pit beef, and hot dogs.
brbrThe Berlin Peach Festival will be held at The Calvin B. Taylor Museum in Berlin from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. with kids games, craft vendors, entertainment, local historical displays, and peach pie baking and eating contests to entertain the masses.
