What market trends are you seeing in 2026?
Condition is KING. Buyers are willing to pay more for homes in premier condition. Conversely, homes that have not been updated are not being well accepted.
What is the biggest mistake that buyers and sellers are making in the current market?
Home sellers are still trying to chase COVID pricing and are failing to recognize a market shift has occurred. With interest rates double what they were in 2021, buyers do not have the same buying power and are more concerned about overpaying. A wise home seller should ask their agent, “What list price will generate competition from buyers?”
Tell us about a memorable transaction you recently closed.
I recently had the opportunity to sell a home that was originally purchased by Nick Saban in 1982. He coached the defensive backs for one year at Navy and then moved on to Michigan State.
