What To Know Before You Go: Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival
Grab your lawn chair and enjoy a weekend of rockin’ blues music on the water at the 2018 Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival.

Date: Saturday, May 19th and Sunday, May 20th
Time: The gates open at 10:30 a.m., and bands will be playing from 11 a.m.–8:30 p.m. both days.
Location: Sandy Point State Park, located at 1100 E College Parkway in Annapolis

What can guests expect?
The Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival was founded in 1998 with the mission of giving back to local charities and organizations, all while providing world-class blues in an awesome location. Enjoy two days of great food, unique craft vendors, and live music on the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay. This year’s lineup features Brian Setzer’s Rockabilly Riot, the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band, Keb Mo, Delbert McClinton, Shemekia Copeland, and many more.
Food and drinks?
Food vendors will be on site offering attendees a variety of food and drink options, including wine and beer.
What about parking?
Limited parking will be available for first come first serve at Sandy Point State Park for $20 per car. Free parking will be available at the Park and Ride on the Harry S. Truman Parkway just off Riva Road, and at the Matapeake Elementary School (651 Romancoke Road, Stevensville) on the Eastern Shore.
Shuttles will be running between the free parking lots and the festival throughout the day. Shuttle service will begin at 9 a.m.
Parking is also available at the Naval Academy for $10, and there will be limited shuttles running from the Naval Academy stadium throughout the day. However, traffic is expected to be heavy around the stadium due to a scheduled lacrosse tournament, so be sure to plan accordingly.
Are tickets still available?
Yes, tickets are still available! Tickets can be purchased online for $75 until Friday, May 18th, and can be purchased at the gate both Saturday and Sunday for $95.
Where do the proceeds go?
The proceeds from this year’s festival will benefit We Care and Friends, a local non-profit volunteer organization that offers assistance to the homeless; Special Love Inc., a non-profit that sponsors camps and programs for children with cancer and their families; and Thembalitsha, a non-profit dedicated to helping those in need in the Western and Eastern Cape.
