Other Festive Events include: The Santa Speedo Run, SPCA’s Pet Photos with Santa, Handel’s Messiah presented by Live Arts Maryland, Holiday Candlelight Stroll in Downtown Annapolis and Illuminated London Town in Edgewater. On the Shore, A Christmas Story will be performed to raise funds for The Avalon Foundation. brThe Annapolis Chorale Chamber Chorus, the Annapolis Chamber Orchestra and soloists return to historic St. Anne’s Church for Handel’s powerful and timely masterpiece. Nothing equals hearing this piece live, including its famous “Hallelujah” chorus.
Holiday Candlelight Stroll
Friday, December 18th, 7 p.m.
brLearn about the origin of holiday traditions including the significance of evergreens, Yule logs, Christmas trees and Santa Claus. The stroll along festive Annapolis streets is a perfect way to get into the holiday spirit. Tours depart from the Information Booth at City Dock, Annapolis.
Santa Speedo Run and Toy Drive
Saturday, December 19th, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
brThis event always stops traffic! Don your speedo, holiday flair, and sneakers. Bring a toy or book and help make a child’s Christmas merry! Participants meet at O'Brien's Annapolis' Original Steakhouse on Main Street and run throughout Downtown Annapolis up to West Street and back to Main Street for a post party with live music and libations. Donations benefit The Salvation Army.
Holiday Concert with Ashley Watkins
At Dorchester Center for the Arts Saturday, December 19th, 5 p.m.
brA native of Cambridge, MD, Ashley Watkins has been studying and playing flute for many years. She earned a Bachelor of Music in 2007, and received a Master of Music in 2010 from The University of Akron in Ohio. She performs throughout her community as a soloist, spreading and sharing her love and passion for music.

brBased on the modern classic film, Ralphie Parker is on a quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun under the tree for Christmas. Featuring your friends and neighbors (and their children) from Talbot County, The Avalon Foundation’s holiday play has become an Eastern Shore tradition. The play also acts as the Foundation’s biggest holiday fundraiser of the year.

brExperience the magic of a winter evening at Illuminated London Town! Sip hot cider beside a roaring fire in the Lord Mayor’s Tenement. Roast s’mores in the gardens, illuminated with festive holiday lights. Enjoy special performances in the gardens each week. Discover colonial nighttime and holidays at a candlelit William Brown House, decorated for the season. Bring the family to celebrate wintertime and the holidays with us at Illuminated London Town!br

brThe Encore Chorale Holiday Concert features singers aged 55-100 singing traditional Christmas and secular holiday favorites. The free concert is at the Robert E. Kauffman Theater in the Pascal Center for Performing Arts.
Gingerwolf (Multi-Instrumentalist Thomas Beall) Performs Secular Music That Will Knock Your Stockings Off!
49 West, Coffeehouse, Winebar & Gallery hosts Thomas Beall, multi-talented multi-instrumentalist who performs under the moniker, Gingerwolf on Saturday, December 19th at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Gingerwolf has performed pedal steel guitar and guitar on albums for some of the best musicians and bands in Annapolis; Alexander Peters, Angela Charles, Kavoossi, Loose Ties, Skribe, Swampcandy, Pompeii Graffiti, and more.
brThe new album, In Pizza We Crust is hand delivered in custom made 5x5" pizza boxes. It features eight instrumentals of varied styles. Gingerwolf defines his style as “Hawaiian Jazz from Outer Space”. The layered sounds he creates are most definitely otherworldly and multi-dimensional. Phenomenal finger style guitarist, Sarah Ellen will open the show.
br For the occasion, Brian and Sarah of 49 West are creating a pizza menu of build-your-own artisan pizzas as well as Beall’s signature, "Pizzawolf".
