Navy made it a point to avenge last season's 30-21 loss at Air Force andbr senior quarterback Keenan Reynolds made sure they did just that. brReynolds ran 24 times for 183 yards and completed four passes for 117 bryards on the way to Navy's eight straight victory going back to last season. His 10 pass attempts are the most since November 1, 2014 against Notre Dame at FedEx Field.
Navy led 27-0 early in the third quarter and even with Air Force's consecutive scoring drives, the threat wasn't alarming as the Midshipmen tacked on two more field goals to win 33-11. The Mids are 4-0 for the first time since 2004.
Reynolds' 183 yards on the ground are the fifth-most of his career and the 17th 100-yard rushing performance of his Navy career. It was also the 17th time in his 40-game career that he has attempted at least 10 passes in a game.
Fullback Chris Swain ran for two touchdowns, inging his season total to four. Old Mill graduate Demond Brown ran for his third career touchdown in the second quarter. Defensive end Will Anthony forced two fumbles and cornerback Brendon Clements recorded his third career interception.
