(ANNAPOLIS, Md., October 17, 2016) – St. Martin's Lutheran School of Annapolis is proud tobrannounce that its middle school's "Random Acts of Kindness" (RAK) club will be volunteering at the Annapolis Halloween Walk on Sunday, October 30th from 12pm to 2pm in Downtown Annapolis. Thebrone-mile fun walk will begin and end at Susan Campbell Park in City Dock and includes trick or treatingbrfrom local businesses on the walk route. Proceeds from the event will benefit local non-profit, AverganbrFoundation (www.averganfoundation.org) that supports families affected by autism spectrum disorders.
brSt. Martin's middle school teacher, Magdalene Sfondouris, who helps lead the RAK club was inspired tobrsupport the Annapolis Halloween Walk after speaking with the founders of Avergan Foundation, Allisonbrand Tom Barnhill. "We think this event is a wonderful opportunity for our middle school students tobrsupport a great local cause and have fun, too," says Sfondouris. The RAK club will be handing outbrsmall gifts to all of the kids who are trick-or-treating that day, along with helping guide the walkers asbrthey travel on their way through the walk route.
brSt. Martin's will have an information booth in Susan Campbell Park, along with other local businessesbrand services. The park will also feature live music from the band Guava Jelly, pumpkin painting led bybrRaye of Light Studios, face painting by Passion Paint by Popkins and much more. All attendees arebrencouraged to dress in costume - adults, children and pets. Prizes from local businesses for bestbrcostumes will be awarded at the end of the event.
