Maryland Black Bears vs. Northeast Generals – Piney Orchard Ice Arena, Odenton Friday, March 8th and Saturday, March 9th, 7:45 p.m. Head to Piney Orchard Ice Arena and cheer on the Maryland Black Bears hockey team as the take on the Northeast Generals. Green Beer Races – Eastport Democratic Club, Annapolis Saturday, March 9th, 12–5 p.m. Join the Eastport Democratic Club for its annual Green Beer Races. The event will feature food and drinks, and games and races for all ages. GiGi's Masquerade Gala – Byzantium Banquet Center, Annapolis Saturday, March 9th, 7–11 p.m. GiGi’s Playhouse Annapolis is rolling out the blue carpet for their guests at their major fundraiser, GiGi’s Masquerade Gala. All proceeds from the gala, coupled with the generous event sponsorships, enable GiGi’s Playhouse to continue to offer its educational and therapeutic programs to individuals with Down syndrome and their families. Music 4 Maryland – Metropolitan Kitchen & Lounge, Annapolis Saturday, March 9th, 7 p.m. Music 4 Maryland is the signature fundraising event for Music 4 More, an Annapolis based charity that provides instruments and resources to school music programs and music therapy programs for veterans. The event will feature an instrument art show, prizes and giveaways, and music by Noah Guthrie, Priddy Music Academy, and Mac + Blue. Annapolis St. Patrick's Day Parade – Downtown Annapolis Sunday, March 10th, 1 p.m. Now in its seventh year, the Annapolis St. Patrick’s Day Parade has become the largest and most popular parade in the city. The parade will travel down West Street, clockwise around Church Circle, down Main Street, around Randall/Compromise Circle, ending on Randall Street. This year’s beneficiary is Warrior Events, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of those wounded while serving our country, as well as the lives of their family members. ChiliFest – Doubletree Hilton, Annapolis Sunday, March 10th, 1–4 p.m. Join the Friends of the Light House for their first annual ChiliFest, a charity chili cook-off featuring local chefs, caterers, and amateur cooks from Annapolis and the surrounding area. Ballet Theatre of Maryland 40th Anniversary Gala – Annapolis Marriott Waterfront Hotel Sunday, March 10th, 4:30–9:30 p.m. Join the Ballet Theatre of Maryland (BTA) in celebrating its 40th anniversary during its biggest fundraising event of the season. Enjoy an exclusive live performance from the company, a buffet dinner and drinks, and live and silent auctions. All proceeds will benefit BTA. Harriet Tubman Day – Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Visitor Center, Church Creek Saturday, March 9th, 9 a.m. Celebrate Harriet Tubman Day, which is observed on the anniversary of her death in 1913, at the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad State Park and Visitor Center. An Intimate Evening of Songs with Graham Nash – Avalon Theatre, Easton Sunday, March 10th, 7 p.m. Legendary artist Graham Nash is a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee – with Crosby, Stills, and Nash (CSN) and with the Hollies. The spring Maryland Home and Garden Show is bringing 400 contractors and experts to the Maryland State Fairgrounds for two weekends, so you can turn your home into a warm weather oasis. Baltimore St. Patrick's Day Parade and 5K – Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, Baltimore Sunday, March 10th, 9 a.m. For more than 60 years, crowds watch thousands march and celebrate Irish culture, song, and dance at the Baltimore St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The 5K begins at Charles & Franklin. Parade starts at Washington Monument & marches to Pratt & Market Place.
