Pineapple is a sweet fruit with just a hint of tarty flavors. Grilling brings out more of the natural sweetness. The brown sugar glaze caramelizes on the pineapple, making it a little crispy, a little caramel-like and super flavorful.
Ingredients
1 pineapple, sliced into rings
4 Tbsp. butter, melted
6 Tbsp. own sugar
Directions
Heat the grill to medium high and spray with non-stick spray. While it heats, combine butter and own sugar until well mixed. Place the pineapple on the grill grates. Use a pastry ush and ush each slice with the sugar mixture. Cook for approximately 5 minutes until the pineapple begins to own and the sugar begins to caramelize. Flip and ush the other side with the glaze. Cook for five more minutes until the fruit owns and caramelizes.
Makes approximately 9 slices of pineapple
