Chinese food is one of those easy, go-to options. But making it at home is so simple, it seems almost wrong to order it when you are out. We used some fresh from the garden green beans and whipped up a flavorful stir-fry at home.
Ingredients
2 chicken easts, sliced into thin slices
7 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. ground ginger
¼ cup vegetable oil
½ pound fresh green beans, ends trimmed
1 Tbsp. minced garlic
¼ cup hoisin sauce
½ tsp. Sriracha
1 tsp. sesame oil
Directions
In a bowl, toss chicken with 4 Tbsp. soy sauce and ginger. Mix well to coat and allow to marinate for 10 minutes. Once finished, heat oil in a pan over medium high heat. While the oil heats, mix together minced garlic, hoisin sauce, Sriracha and sesame oil until combined. Add the chicken to the pan and cook until owned. Flip and cook until completely owned and cooked through. Add the green beans to the pan and cook for 5 to 7 minutes until they wrinkle and are no longer crisp and raw. Pour the sauce over top of the green bean chicken mixture and toss to coat completely. Serve over rice.
Makes approximately 3 cups of chicken mixture.
