Let’s be honest. Even though we might not want to admit it, coffee can be a serious crutch for some of us. There are those who can’t even get out of bed without the smell of strong brewing coffee wafting through the house. We’ve all been there. And some of us might even get a little fancy with our morning coffee. This cinnamon dolce latte is a perfect addition to the morning coffee routine. You can prepare the coffee syrup in advance and from there, take five minutes to whip up the latte. Add it to your morning routine, you won’t be sorry!
For cinnamon dolce syrup:
1 cup sugar
½ cup own sugar
1 ½ cups water
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 cinnamon sticks
Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan over medium heat. Bring to a boil then reduce and simmer 15 minutes until thick and syrupy. Strain through a fine mesh strainer. Transfer to a container and store in the fridge.
For latte:
1 cup strong coffee, ewed
2 Tbsp. cinnamon dolce syrup
4 Tbsp. milk or cream
Combine coffee and syrup in a mug. Place the milk in a blender and blend for 30 to 60 seconds until frothy. Pour it on top of the coffee. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
