Strawberry and Rhubarb Lemonade
Rhea's Rundown
This drink takes 8 minutes to put together after letting a mixture of boiled water, rhubarb, strawberries, and sugar freeze for 30 minutes. It’s the perfect sweet and subtly tart refreshment for your Fourth of July cook out.
Ingredients – Serves 4
- ½ cup fresh lemon juice
- 4 cups water
- 2 cups frozen rhubarb
- 1 cup quartered strawberries
- 6 tablespoons sugar
Directions
1. Place ½ cup fresh lemon juice in a pitcher. Place 4 cups water, rhubarb, strawberries, and sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes. Place in freezer for 30 minutes. Press mixture through a fine sieve into pitcher with lemon juice; discard solids. Stir to combine.
