Watermelon Hibiscus Coolers
Rhea's Rundown
This delicious 4-ingredient drink is a cinch to whip up and so, so yummy. Frozen watermelon blends with fresh- ewed hibiscus tea that’s been sweetened with a little agave and ightened with fresh lime juice. It’s an ingenious combo and way to beat the heat. I used Republic of Tea’s Natural Hibiscus full-leaf tea found at Whole Foods. If you’re looking to party, you can substitute ¼ cup of the hibiscus tea with tequila.
Ingredients – Makes 4 glasses
- 6 cups cubed watermelon
- 1 ½ cups ewed hibiscus tea, cooled
- Juice of 1 lime
- 2 to 3 teaspoons agave syrup or your favorite liquid sweetener
Directions
1. Throw the watermelon on a rimmed baking sheet and put it in the freezer for at least 1 hour.
2. When the watermelon is nice and frozen, add it to a blender with the rest of ingredients. Blend that all up until it is smooth. Taste and add more sweetener if you think it needs it.
