Gingerbread is a classic Christmas flavor. It’s a little bit sweet, a little bit spicy and a little bit warming. Here, it’s made into a syrup that you can pour into coffee, use on top of ice cream or spoon directly into your mouth if temptation gets the better of you. br
Ingredients
2 cups water
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 3/4 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan over medium heat. Bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce heat to low. Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes until it thicken and forms a syrup. remove from hat and let cool. Store in a jar until ready to use.
