On January 1 after one and a half years in business, Bill Bateman’s Bistro closed their location on Mitchell’s Chance Road in Edgewater. The restaurant changed their hours in October, eliminating the lunch service. All of the employees from the Edgewater location have been sent to other Bill Bateman’s locations in Maryland. This restaurant location in the South River shopping center has been the site of two other failed restaurants.r
Red Red Wine Bar Owner to Open New Bar and Restaurant
Brian Bolter, the current owner of Red Red Wine Bar, is looking to open a new bar and restaurant, to be called Dry 85, in Annapolis. This new bar will be done in a speakeasy-style décor and will focus on both bourbon and comfort foods such as Kobe beef burgers and slow cooked ribs. Botler's special exception request will go before the Board of Annapolis on January 16, 2013.
