Dr. Runz specializes in adult urology from kidney stone and prostate disorders to the diagnosis and treatment of all cancers of the urinary system and is the only urologist in the Mid-Shore area performing state-of-the-art laparoscopic and da vinci robotic surgery. Dr. Runz is a graduate of ATSU Health Sciences in Missouri. He completed his internship, general surgery residency and urology residency at Michigan State University. During his residency he was a clinical instructor in the department of Surgical Specialties where he achieved numerous academic and professional honors. He was chief resident at Botsford General Hospital in Detroit, Michigan before relocating to Easton in 2004.
Dr. Foley specializes in all areas of adult urology such as advanced kidney stone treatment, and laser treatment of voiding difficulties from prostate enlargement. As one of the most accomplished cryosurgeons in Maryland, he offers minimally invasive cryotherapy treatment of prostate and kidney cancers. This FDA-sanctioned technology utilizes extremely cold thermotherapy to freeze and destroy cancer. He also specializes in complex urethral reconstructive surgery for male stricture disease, and both sling and artificial sphincter technology for male and female urinary incontinence.
A retired U.S. Army Officer, Dr. Foley began his 25-year medical career as an Army ROTC student at the University of Notre Dame. He earned his medical degree from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. He completed his urology residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and served on the teaching staff at Brooke Army Medical Center in Houston, Texas. During his last 10 years of military service he was promoted to Colonel and served as Assistant Chief of Urology and consultant to the Army Surgeon General. In 2003 he was deployed to Kuwait where he was subordinate commander of the 10th Combat Support Hospital for Operation Iraqi Freedom.
