Exploring the World of Aviation! Partnered with Experimental Aircraft Association
Severna Park High School Senior, Jordan Regalado, and 3 Juniors are creating a fun and education video on the world of aviation. Originally, their project was to help communities around Annapolis to get exposed to Aviation by offering free flights for students. Now they will be sharing a video online that teaches kids about how airplanes fly and include an activity to complete at home.
These students are a part of Severna Park’ Leadership Institute. This program serves to teach students about being a community leader and organizer, develop and execute projects, and learn the values of self and team leadership. This program starts in the sophomore year and works all the way up to the student’s senior year. In the student’s junior year, the student begins to plan and develop the project that they want to complete. Then in their senior year, they go and execute the project.
The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) helps youth get involved in the Aviation community by offering free flights to kids 8-17. You can visit their page at here. They do stunning work within communities all around the United States, helping the youth and inspiring more people to join the great world of Aviation. #aacpsawesome
