THE LAST 5 YEARS is the story of how two can see one relationship from opposing ends of the love that ties them together. Two people meet, they fall in love, marry, and divorce. If only it was that straightforward.

We are looking for strong actors who can sing these tough and demanding notes.
Dramatis Personae:
Cathy (female, 20s-early 30s): A struggling actress. Smart and insecure; loyal and committed. Her fear is driven by the thoughts of who she does not want to become.
Jamie (20s-early 30s): A Jewish writer from New York. Smart, and knows it. Likeable with a boyish charm, but keeps making decisions that sabotage relationships.

What is needed:
Cathy: Belters or strong mix preferred (screlters beware)
Jamie: Traditionally tenor, open to altering notes or keys
Please prepare to sing 16-32 bars of a song in the style of the show. Clearly mark sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. No acapella or singing with a recording.
You will be asked to cold-read a monologue.

The Colonial Players, Inc. is a not-for-profit, all-volunteer community theater with an open casting policy. All auditions are open to the public and no roles are pre-cast. All roles are non-paying. Auditions are held in our Annex at 2132 Renard Court (off General’s Highway near the Annapolis Mall) unless otherwise noted. All performances are held at 108 East Street, just off State Circle, in historic Annapolis. The Colonial Players welcomes actors and other volunteers of all backgrounds and skill levels.
