Kennards Annual "Juneteenth" Celebration
to
Kennard High School Cultural Heritage Center 410 Little Kidwell Ave, Centreville, Maryland 21617
Kennard Alumni Association will be hosting Queen Anne’s County’s annual “Juneteenth” Celebration at the “Kennard African American Cultural Heritage Center and Museum”. This will be a free community festival where African American artist will perform and display their craft, vendors will offer their wares, lecturers will educate, and guests will sample African American food and drink. This Juneteenth celebration is not only an African American milestone in our nation but an opportunity to educate and dialogue with all citizens and reflect on our shared history in Queen Anne’s County. We are asking that this will also be a “Giving Day”, where Kennard High School graduates and attendees will bring pictures and memorabilia, for copying or donation, of school and community events down through the years. These items will help us expand our museum exhibits. For additional information contact Clay Washington at 443-239-2110 or Kia Reed at 410-739-0395. http://www.qac.org/calendar.aspx?EID=4117
