Maryland's Rare, Threatened and Endangered Species
Have you ever wondered which rare plants and animals are our neighbors in Maryland? Join a DNR biologist for an overview and learn the ins and outs of Maryland's rare species programs, plus some ways you can help.
Speaker Sarah Witcher is an Education Specialist and Wildlife Biologist for the Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife and Heritage Service. She serves as the state coordinator for Project WILD, on the state committee for the Envirothon high school competition program, and as a leader and public speaker for the Wild Acres backyard habitat program. She also writes for outreach publications in multiple formats and supports the Rare, Threatened and Endangered Species research and management efforts of the Natural Heritage Program.
We hope you will join us at the Annapolis Science Café at 49 West, but Zoom is also available. It's best to reserve seats for this event by calling 49 West at 410-626-9796. The event is free but you need to buy something from the restaurant. You don’t need a reservation for Zoom, but you do need the meeting number and passcode. Questions?
