A Star is Born (1954) Monday, August 28, 6pm
This version of the oft filmed story is considered by most critics to be the best. After being suspended from MGM for absenteeism and tardiness, Judy Garland’s future in the film industry looked bleak. But her starring role in Warner Brothers’ A Star Is Born represented one of the greatest comebacks in movie history. They don’t make ‘em like this anymore.
