Celebration of Native Plants
to
Tawes Garden 580 Taylor Ave., Annapolis, Maryland 21401
Tawes Garden will host a Celebration of Native Plants on Saturday, September 14th, from 10am to 2pm.
Tawes Garden is a 5-acre mix of forest, streams, a pond, and cultivated gardens displaying native plants, shrubs and trees representing each of the unique regions of the state. It is also home to the Plant Mural, a demonstration garden filled with flowering plants native to Maryland.
The event offers an opportunity to explore this special urban garden to gain inspiration and knowledge about incorporating native plants into the landscape. Representatives from local groups supporting native plants and sustainable gardening will be there to answer questions. A self-guided QR-based tour describes the different geographic areas represented in the garden.
The Celebration is free and open to all.
The Tawes Garden is at Maryland DNR Headquarters, 580 Taylor Ave, Annapolis. Free parking in front of DNR and at the Naval Academy Parking Lot, Gate 6.
