May 19th - 26th, 2023. The United States Naval Academy Commissioning Week is a celebration for Midshipmen, their families, and the entire town of Annapolis. Woven into the fabric of our historic city, visitors come from all over to celebrate this special honor with graduating Midshipmen.

The Blue Angels are always a highlight; tours and events to watch them from the water fill up quickly. Visit our events page for booking information and our parking page for transportation and parking in downtown Annapolis.

This year's commissioning week offers a few changes; one of the most notable is the famous Herndon Climb. This event marks the official end of Plebe Year and will occur one week before Commissioning Week festivities on May 17, 2023.

For those coming to town to catch a performance of the Blue Angels, mark your calendars for May 23-24, 2023. Practice day on the 23rd is just as exciting as the real deal on the 24th and offers two chances to see this dynamic air show.
