Stunning music and profound words combine to awaken our collective dreams of peace and freedom. In Leonard Bernstein’s “Kaddish” Symphony, the Hebrew prayer for times of bereavement sparks a heated exploration of spirit and fate, a testament made all the more poignant with updated words by a Holocaust survivor Samual Pisar (narrated here by his family). Learn more about the music at a post concert Q&A session.
This performance will also take place Fri., Oct 7 at 8 pm and Sun., Oct 9 at 3 pm at The Music Center at Strathmore in North Bethesda, Md.
