Craving a Solution to hunger
When families are food insecure, they don't always have enough money to buy food. A parent may skip meals so that a child can eat, or a family may run out of money to buy food between paychecks.
One in 10 Maryland families struggle to put food on the table. 27% of U.S. veterans of wars in Afghanistan and Iraq have struggled to provide food for their families. Maryland is home to 205,890 hungry children, including 26,290 in Anne Arundel County. The U.S. and other nations committed to ending world hunger by 2030 - but we are not on track to achieve this goal.
