Cultivating Community Through Gardening Revolution
Edmonston MD: Garden Village MD and the City of Edmonston present "Cultivating Community: Through Gardening Revolution." This is a gardening event in which you can gain knowledge on different plants, meet new people, shop from local vendors, trade plants, and swap seeds. In partnership with nonprofit Operation ARTS foundation we will create plant inspired art to go in their free little art gallery “Art (M.A.G.N.E.T.)” and one piece of art for you to keep. We will have 3 workshops so please come early so you can learn all the great things gardening has to offer. First we will have Michelle & Miriam of Sister of the Soil who will teach us about companion planting. Then we will be having a plant identification walk led by Bodhi Vasilopoulos of Plant Path, where he will teach us about herbal / wild medicine, sustainability and other nature-related topics. This event is sponsored by Plant3r; and Clifton Hart will be doing a workshop on hydroponics and indoor growing!
