William Paca Garden

Celebrate Maryland Day with Historic Annapolis!

On Friday, explore the William Paca Garden and the Waterfront Warehouse and immerse yourself in the history of our city.

William Paca Garden

186 Prince George Street

Visit the William Paca Garden and explore a secret oasis of natural beauty nestled in the heart of Annapolis. This colonial garden, hidden behind the William Paca House, has been reconstructed to its original design featuring a terraced landscape with formal parterres, naturalistic wilderness, and practical kitchen and medicinal gardens.

Advance registration available but not required.

Cost: $1 per person; Free for HA Members

Guided, hour-long tours of the William Paca House will be available for a higher admission fee, and begin on the half hour starting at 10:30 am. The last tour is offered at 3:30 pm. Register in advance for a guided tour here.

Accessibility Considerations: Visitors with limited mobility can access the brick Paca Garden Terrace via the driveway of the Paca House. A single use accessible restroom can be accessed by a ramp. The upper portion of the garden can be accessed via a ramp with handrails, but please note that garden pathways are loose pea gravel and steps must be traversed to access the lower levels of the garden.

Waterfront Warehouse

4 Pinkney Street

Visit a rare surviving example of a small Annapolis waterfront warehouse from the 18th century. Today, you’ll discover a large scale model of our city, circa the late 18th century, featuring a birds-eye view of the historic landscape.

Registration not required.

Cost: Free

Accessibility Considerations: Access to the Waterfront Warehouse requires ascending and descending two steps.
