The HONOR exhibit features six Maryland-based Black women artists: Greta Chapin-McGill, Abena Apatu, Bria Edwards, Gina Marie Lewis, Sasha-Loriene, and Kennedy Trusty.
Celebrate Mother's Day weekend by enjoying a powerful women's themed art exhibit on May 7th, 12:00- 3:00pm at the Banneker-Douglass Museum in historic downtown Annapolis. Light refreshments and mimosas will be served. Treat yourself to a mini-massage by Sun & Soul Massage.
For centuries, art has been used as a way of expression. In this second installment, we honor the expression of six Black Maryland-based women artists with HONOR, an exhibition co-curated by Banneker-Douglass Museum and ArtFarm Studios. HONOR acknowledges and celebrates the joys and pains of Black women's expression with storytelling and creativity.
