Hoodstock
Unified Community Connections, a nonprofit agency supporting children and adults with disabilities, will hold its signature event, Hoodstock XVI, a concert fundraiser where guests “say no to black-tie and yes to tie-dye” while enjoying live music from the 1960s, ’70s and today.
Roses n Rust will headline Hoodstock and cover both classic and modern artists. Admission includes food, beer and wine, with raffles and a silent auction. In addition, local celebrity O.J. Brigance, senior advisor for player development for the Baltimore Ravens, will present this year’s Samuel A. Tucker Memorial Can Do Award.
Hoodstock started in 2004 as a neighborhood event and has since grown into a major fundraiser to benefit children and adults with disabilities. Last year, 350 people attended Hoodstock, raising over $86,000.
Early bird tickets cost $40 through Sept. 3. Advance general admission tickets cost $45. Admission at the door is $50. Children age 5 and younger are free; children ages 6 to 12 are $10.
