Tour of the house that compares the customs and social graces of the Loockerman family, who lived in the Hammond-Harwood House in the early 19th century, with those of characters in Jane Austen novels.
A discussion on Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility led by Hammond-Harwood House director will follow the tour starting at 3 pm.
Sense and Sensibility is a book filled with love, loss, hope, humor, dashing men and lovely women — and Jane Austen’s piercing view of society.
