There’s an Electric Vehicle in Your Future!
The Electric Vehicle Association of Greater DC (EVADC) will present its first EV show in the Annapolis area on May 4, building on more than a decade of EV events presented by Annapolis Green. The show is designed to showcase the value of electric vehicles to the pocketbook, human health, and the environment. This is a free event.
The show will feature exhibits, mini-talks and Q&A sessions, and displays of many types of EVs by people who are currently driving electric. These drivers are excited to share their driving experiences with members of the public one-on-one.
The City of Annapolis’ participation will include one of its new electric transit buses. The public will be offered the opportunity to ride in this clean, quiet mode of transportation. City officials will also display its three-wheeler electric bicycles, its electric GEM carts and other educational material.
Environmental organizations have been invited to participate due EVs’ positive effect on the environment.
Among the topics to be covered in the mini-talks and Q&A sessions are:
• EV Charging – what where and how
• Financial incentives – for EVs and chargers
• Cost of Ownership – fossil fueled vehicles vs. EVs
• Climate Change – how driving electric help mitigate its effects
• Road Trips – totally doable
