At the very end of the 20th century before wireless internet was common in Dorchester County, a group of organizations spanning the world brought real-time video to an active bald eagle nest at Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge (NWR). This pioneer effort was the beginning of a real-time Blackwater “video and audio reality show” that has captivated wildlife enthusiasts for over 20 years and led to spin-off cameras for Ospreys and migrating waterfowl. Reservations and prepayment required for this dinner event, please send $35 to SDFM, P.O. Box 181, Church Creek, MD 21622 by October 26.
