Maryland Day Weekend with Banneker-Douglass-Tubman Museum

Banneker-Douglass Museum 84 Franklin Street, Annapolis, Maryland 21401

Join us this Maryland Day Weekend to celebrate Women’s History Month with a special tour led by the museum’s Curator, Martina Dodd, and Exhibits Manager, Leslie Rose, highlighting the contributions of Black women in our archives. Experience the Legacy of Maryland Commission Tapestry Installation, a stunning 216 x 84 inch acrylic and paper collage in our 'Sacred Spaces' exhibition, created by artist Jabari Jefferson and community members.

The day will also feature a morning mindfulness program and an afternoon children’s activity led by Baltimore Read Aloud. While visiting, learn more about the Maryland Commission on African American History and Culture’s Book Drive and explore over 40 events celebrating Maryland’s Birthday, heritage, and culture across Annapolis and Anne Arundel County. We look forward to welcoming you for a meaningful day of art, history, and community!
