MLK Day Program: Let’s Create! Art as Activism with Artist Oliver James
Saturday, January 13th at 1pm, we will explore how activism shows up in spaces in many different ways in a special MLK Day program. Artist Oliver James will take us on a journey that offers insight into the transformative role that art plays in shaping history. James will talk about creating pieces that address pressing social issues, spark dialogue, and inspire action.
Following the talk, attendees are invited to contribute to a civil rights mural to be displayed at the museum.
Whether you are an art enthusiast, activist, or simply curious about the intersection of creativity and social change, this program is not to be missed. This program is especially ideal for high school and college students -- our future change-makers!
