The “STEM through Sailing & Boating” program which reached over 300 students in 2018 through our partnerships with Eastport/Annapolis elementary schools, Anne Arundel County Adaptive Camp, and EYC Junior Sailing camps.· Partners up with Seeds4Success to create “Jr Sailing Summer Camp Scholarships” offering sailing school experiences for kids that would not otherwise learn to sail.· The “Marine & Maritime Career Expo” annually hosts around 50 exhibitors and over 600 students to explore career opportunities and internships with business, industry, nonprofits, associations, government agencies and the military as well as educational opportunities with high schools, college and technical training organizations. · The “Marine & Maritime Scholarships” program awards a total of $20K per year to up to ten high school graduates pursuing marine and maritime careers through 4-year college, 2-year college or marine trades technical training programs.· The “Community Grants” program awards grants to community non-profits focused on environmental stewardship with both the Back Creek Conservancy (BCC) and the Spa Creek Conservancy (SCC).
Raising funds for Marine and Maritime Education Programs and Scholarships
Eastport Yacht Club Foundation is proud to announce its annual charity gala Night of Indulgence- La Masquerade, on September 7th at Eastport Yacht Club. Indulge in an evening of dancing, spirits, and fine foods while raising funds to support EYC Foundation's marine and maritime education and scholarship programs. “Our Night of Indulgence Gala has become an iconic event for having an amazing time while raising money for the Foundation" says Tim Wilbricht EYC Foundation Chair. "This year will set the bar higher with the most amazing masquerade ball you've ever seen." The Eastport Yacht Club will be transformed into a swanky French masquerade ball featuring music and circus performers as well as fine French cuisine and cocktails.
