The Oxford Community Center’s three day show ushers in the summer season by drawing local collectors, as well as those from the Baltimore-Washington, Annapolis, Philadelphia, Virginia and New York City areas. The artists and collections presented will excite even the most seasoned collectors with fine works found in many of their favorite mediums.
The event opens on Friday night with the Preview Party where collectors, artists, and their guests enjoy first looks at the exhibit, and get first opportunity to buy the art! $1500 in artist awards will be presented at the Preview Party thanks to event sponsors. Throughout the weekend artist demonstrations will be presented and there will be projects for the young and young at heart artist too. A community instillation project welcomes all visitors.
Lunch both Saturday and Sunday is available from 12:00 – 2:00 PM under the tent by the grill. The menu features incredible chicken salad, hotdogs and a few surprises added each year. Infamous Strawberry Shortcake is offered both days.
At the close of the Saturday show, there will an “Ag-Fest” dinner celebrating Maryland foods provided by multiple farm sourced restaurants with craft beers and live music for all to enjoy. On Sunday afternoon, there will be bubbly and a raffle drawing for fantastic pieces of works that the artists donate to support the Community Center’s mission, which is to serve the community and region with a year-round schedule of educational, cultural, and recreational programs and events. All proceeds from Oxford Fine Arts support the Community Center’s programs, geared for all ages.
